Development-Life Skills
Kkey Care believes that people with disabilities deserve the same respect, dignity and equality as everyone else. Development-Life Skills services aim to support individuals with disabilities to develop and improve their daily living and social skills.
Some examples of the services that fall under the Development-Life Skills category in NDIS are:
- Daily Living Skills: These services aim to support individuals to develop their abilities to carry out daily tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
- Social and Community Participation: These services focus on developing an individual’s ability to engage with others, participate in community activities and develop social networks.
- Communication Skills: This includes services that support individuals to develop and improve their communication skills, including speech therapy, language development, and augmentative and alternative communication.
- Behaviour Support: These services are designed to support individuals who exhibit challenging behaviours and provide them with strategies to improve their behaviour.
- Travel Training: This includes services that aim to develop an individual’s ability to use public transport and travel safely and independently.
- Personal Development: These services focus on supporting individuals to develop skills such as self-care, decision-making, problem-solving, and goal-setting.
We offer a fun, stimulating and enriching environment for people with disabilities with specialist equipment and resources available to them.
